CCN stands for Carrier Comfort Network, and is the network backbone of Carrier's commercial controllers such as VAV, VVT, small rooftop Premierlink controllers, medium rooftop Comfortlink controllers, fancoil, general purpose 6400's, and Product Integrated Controller's (PIC) which are in chillers. CCN allows Carrier equipment to talk seamlessly and with a minimal amount of integration effort on the part of the installer. CCN Linkage between Carrier rooftops and air handlers the the VAV boxes associated with them provide for coordinated setpoint, scheduling, and air source setpoint reset to provide the most energy efficient solution for building control.

Carrier created and trademarked the first variable volume/variable temperature (VVT®) system nearly two decades ago when it provided building owners, consulting engineers and contractors individualized levels of zone control from a single constant volume heating and cooling unit. Using its knowledge and expertise, Carrier has raised the bar on precision control and comfort for packaged systems with the introduction of the 3V packaged control system. The 3V VVT system, with its Zone and Bypass Controllers, integrates Carrier’s advanced-control components with constant volume rooftop units to deliver outstanding comfort and energy efficiency. The 3V packaged control system provides precise temperature control for up to 32 zones for VVT applications and up to 128 for PVAV applications. Zone level DCV is available on all 3V zoning systems, satisfying ventilation requirements based on actual occupancy versus designed occupancy, saving energy costs.
